You may have noticed a new icon at the bottom of our website showing that Rentigo recently received a BBB Accreditation with an A rating. As a young, rapidly growing company, we are proud to have reached this important milestone.
What does BBB accreditation mean?
The BBB, or Better Business Bureau, provides businesses in the United States and Canada with accreditation if they follow business practices built on the BBB Standards for Trust. According to a recent study by Neilson, nearly 83% of U.S. consumers are more likely to make a purchase from a business that displays the BBB Accreditation Seal. That’s because these companies have established their compliance with eight basic principles including honesty, transparency, responsiveness and integrity, among others.
At Rentigo these values resonate strongly with ours. To receive accreditation, the BBB reviewed every element of our business from our website to the quality of our customer service to the content we publish for our users. Throughout the process we consistently demonstrated our compliance with core business practices designed to build customer satisfaction, confidence and trust.
Why is it important?
BBB accreditation matters because it matters to the people we aspire to support in our mission to simplify property management. As an online platform and mobile app that connects property managers and their tenants, security is always our primary concern. We rely on SSL encryption and secure protocols such as HTTPS to protect the information and privacy of our users; and store any information in a PCI DSS compliant network.
But technology is just part of the story. The other is our ongoing commitment to serving our customers, resolving potential issues quickly and proving we can earn their trust again and again.
Mostly, accreditation by the BBB is a testament to how seriously we take what we’re doing at Rentigo while striving to always live up to our customers’ expectations.
